Job Summary:

The Healthcare Support Worker will work under the supervision of the Client Service Manager to provide on-going client care, observing, monitoring, and reporting on client status and condition. This includes delivering prescribed medications accurately, maintaining professional and ethical standards, and performing other related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide client care and support, promoting independence and dignity
  • Observe, monitor, and report on client status and condition
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory required
  • Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset
