Radiology Tech II

Position Overview:

The Radiology Technologist II plays a crucial role in delivering patient care through the operation of x-ray machinery, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory standards.

Required Credentials:

  • Valid State of California Radiology (CRT) and Fluoroscopy credentials are mandatory
  • Current ARRT (R) certification is required
  • Must hold a valid BLS provider card

Educational Background:

  • Graduation from a JCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program is essential

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred, with a focus on hospital settings
  • Proven proficiency in executing diagnostic x-ray procedures

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations
  • Capability to conduct quality assurance evaluations on imaging devices
  • Familiarity with CDPH regulations and JC standards is advantageous

Physical Requirements – Patient Interaction:

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with occasional sitting
  • Use of hands for fine motor tasks and managing medical instruments
  • Frequent overhead reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, and kneeling
  • Assisting in patient repositioning and transferring; lifting and transporting equipment
  • Utilization of near vision and effective verbal communication
