We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pizza Chef to join our team at Great Pizza. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas and other menu items to meet the expectations of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including pizzas, salads, and desserts.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is presented in a clean and appealing manner.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take steps to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide guidance and support to help them perform their duties effectively.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all food prepared and served, and take steps to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
