Position Overview – Contents Restoration Specialist
At On Side, our Contents Restoration Specialists, also referred to as Disaster Recovery Technicians, approach each day with a positive mindset and a commitment to service. This essential team plays a crucial role in helping clients recover valuable possessions and memories with understanding, care, and diligence.
In the event of a disaster, our teams are mobilized to bring order back to chaos and manage the aftermath. Working both on-site and in our facilities means that no two days are alike, providing a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities of the Contents Restoration Specialist include:
Collaborating with clients to restore personal and commercial items to their pre-disaster condition Packing and cataloging items from affected areas and generating detailed inventory lists Utilizing Encircle Restoration Software for effective management Cleaning items and structures thoroughly Maintaining and cleaning fabrics and textiles Engaging in general labor and cross-training for construction tasks Participating in demolition activities as requiredRequired Qualifications:
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to assist others Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team Willingness to learn various general labor roles within the restoration field Physically capable (ability to lift, carry, and pack items) and committed to adhering to safety protocols Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to meet On Side's criminal record check standards Proficiency in English or French (QC) at an intermediate levelRelevant Experience:
Backgrounds in construction, general labor, demolition, supervision, renovations, landscaping, industrial or commercial cleaning, moving, or packing are beneficial.

Disasters can occur unexpectedly, so a rotating schedule for 24/7 on-call work is a necessary aspect of this role.
