About the Role

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Leader to join our Corporate office as a Business Partner. This is a key role that will provide strategic support and expertise to our leaders and teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership Support: Provide guidance and advice to our HR Business Partners, ensuring they deliver high-quality HR services across the organization.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational goals and develop HR strategies that support achievement.
  • HR Solutions: Partner with departments to deliver effective solutions in areas such as talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employee engagement.
  • Performance Management: Drive the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and talent development planning.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent by providing guidance and support to managers and employees during periods of change.
  • Training and Development: Oversee the design and implementation of training programs that address company-wide learning needs, including leadership development, compliance training, and skills enhancement.
  • HR Metrics: Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to drive decision-making.
  • Workplace Issues: Manage workplace issues and conflicts, including human rights and harassment, and conduct workplace investigations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of people systems, processes, and practices, shaping and driving projects to address any gaps or risks.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with WSIB legislation, and conduct reporting on key performance indicators related to health and safety.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Lead the design, implementation, and management of the compensation structure, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Succession Planning: Oversee and manage the growth aspects of HR, including succession planning and the development of mentoring programs to build future leadership capabilities.
  • HR Trends and Regulations: Stay current with HR trends, laws, and regulations, ensuring compliance and recommending updates to policies and procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a post-secondary diploma is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a Business Partner or similar role.
  • Skills: Proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders and influencing business outcomes. Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Designation: CHRL designation is an asset.
