The Winnipeg Football Club recognizes that exceptional food and beverage offerings are integral to a memorable game day experience. We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage our premium catering services across various events held at the stadium. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our fans enjoy top-tier food and customer service during Blue Bomber and Valour game days, particularly in suites and premium seating areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the successful execution of catering events, which includes setup, operation, cleanup, and oversight of labor costs.
- Maintain a consistent presence on the floor by supervising and inspecting all elements of event execution, including setup, food service, and cleanup.
- Actively participate as a member of the catering team.
- Ensure that all assigned areas are fully stocked and operational, adhering to inventory management procedures.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and lead hourly catering staff for game days and other events.
- Strive to meet or exceed fan and guest expectations at all times.
- Assist the Manager of Events & Catering with administrative tasks, including scheduling, ordering, and inventory management.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in event or banquet catering, with a preference for candidates with management experience.
- A customer-centric attitude with a proven history of excellent service.
- Possession of valid Smart Choices and Food Handler certifications.
- Familiarity with POS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
