We are seeking a skilled Precision Machine Operator to join our team at Les Industries FMA Inc.. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to quality and precision in manufacturing.

Work Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances of machine components.
  • Measure and layout workpieces in preparation for assembly.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and components.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools.
  • Assemble and fit components and machine parts to precise tolerances.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Keep inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
  • Set up and operate both conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Qualifications
  • Certificates: Machinist Trade Certification
  • Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, Verniers
  • Equipment Experience: Automatic lathes, Boring machines, Milling machines
Safety and Transportation
  • Security: Criminal record check required.
  • Transportation: Own transportation and valid driver's license are necessary.
Work Environment
  • Repetitive tasks and physically demanding duties.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and pay attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle weights exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs).
