Gallery Facilitator

Job Summary:

The Regina Public Library is seeking a skilled Gallery Facilitator to enhance the customer experience and appreciation of visual culture at the Dunlop Art Gallery. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in improving patron access to exhibitions and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a facilitator to enhance the customer's experience and appreciation of Gallery presentations and exhibits.
• Support the Curator of Education and Community Outreach on exhibition and other related activities held by the Gallery.
• Maintain appropriate patron behavior for the safety and security of the exhibitions.
• Assist maintenance staff by maintaining tidiness of the Galleries.
• Record visitor statistics.
• Open and close the Gallery.
• Perform other duties essential to the achievement of efficient public service operations.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12, plus up to two years of post-secondary study in the area of Fine Arts.
• Nine months to 1 year of successful experience in direct customer care activities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of a variety of Artist/Gallery related reference sources.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

Working Conditions:

The Gallery Facilitator will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
