Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Regulatory Risk to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of our RCM framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the RCM framework to meet the needs of each business activity
  • Review and update compliance policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they remain adequate and appropriate
  • Collaborate with Finance, Audit, Operational Risk, and Compliance Risk teams to implement and optimize the RCM framework
  • Develop and maintain training programs to ensure ongoing compliance with changing regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture are considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Finance, Audit, or Risk environments
  • Professional Accounting designation (CPA) is preferred
  • Solid understanding of financial and management reporting principles, as well as the Bank's products, operations, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of risks impacting banking and finance, internal controls, and evaluation
  • Strong analytical, data visualization, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Solid communication skills, with ability to interact with various Finance units at different management levels
