We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Teacher to join our team at Atlantic Montessori School, Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes designing and implementing child-care programs, assessing children's development, and communicating with parents.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Assessment and Communication: Assess the children's development and prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs. Communicate with parents through regular updates and progress reports.
- Child Care: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers. Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children to local points of interest. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
- Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children. Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
- Certifications: Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate, Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in early childhood education.
- Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
