Job Title: Montessori Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori teacher to join our team at Atlantic Montessori School, Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children aged toddler to pre-school years. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Montessori principles and be able to implement child-centered programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support children's growth and development
  • Lead activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or supervisors
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • 5 years or more of experience in early childhood education
