Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Lead Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will leverage their extensive knowledge in finance, financial modeling, and analytics to effectively convey insights to senior leadership and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in manufacturing, particularly within the food processing sector, and will have a proven track record of collaborating across various departments to deliver high-quality financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement financial models, forecasts, and analyses to support strategic business objectives.
  • Assist internal teams in comprehending and evaluating the factors that enhance profitability and optimize working capital.
  • Evaluate financial performance across all business dimensions, including sales, finance, production, supply chain, procurement, product development, and logistics.
  • Prepare and present various weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, analyses, and business reviews in collaboration with finance and executive teams.
  • Develop and manage financial and operational reporting tools to monitor and analyze critical financial and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to formulate budgets and track performance against those budgets.
  • Lead the development and analysis of ongoing financial forecasts.
  • Offer financial insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing data-driven decision-making within the organization.
  • Work with other departments to validate and source necessary data.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system and operational users.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Professional designation (CPA) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships.
  • Strong work ethic with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling and handling large datasets.
  • Proven ability to interpret data relationships, identify trends, and analyze variances.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with forecasting and budgeting software is considered an asset.
