Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Director to oversee all facets of our accounting operations. This critical role requires a strategic mindset and a proven history of financial leadership. The Accounting Director will manage relationships with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities.
- Ensure the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies through effective financial compliance management.
- Oversee the implementation of our ERP system from a financial and controls perspective, ensuring optimal integration and process efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to guarantee compliance.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support investor diligence efforts by providing essential financial data and insights.
- Partner with the FP&A team on budgeting and forecasting to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop and execute a public company readiness strategy.
Candidate Profile:
- Significant experience as an accounting director within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a commitment to financial excellence.
- Proficient in ERP implementation, with a track record of leading complex system integrations.
- Expertise in developing processes and systems, with a keen ability to foresee accounting and control needs.
- Experience in corporate tax and treasury functions.
- Strong skills in preparing financial statements and establishing accounting policies.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a current CPA license are essential, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and applicable regulatory standards; experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly in startup environments and the automotive sector is preferred.
