Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Super-Pufft Snacks. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, using your technical skills and knowledge to resolve issues efficiently.
- Repair or replace defective parts, using hand and power tools as needed.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure seamless production operations.
- Stay up-to-date with safety protocols and food safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Post-secondary education in a mechanical trade, such as a diploma or certificate in a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience as a field service technician or field repair technician in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical skills, including automation and troubleshooting expertise.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a rotating shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
The Equipment Maintenance Mechanic will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
