About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Communications Specialist to join our Government Relations team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping public perception and advocating for policies that support accessible and affordable healthcare. You will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies, crafting compelling content, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to advance government relations objectives.
- Write and edit a variety of materials, including press releases, media advisories, speeches, presentations, and website content.
- Manage media relations and cultivate strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform communication strategies and messaging.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment related to healthcare policy.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in communications, public relations, or government relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar and style.
- Ability to develop creative and engaging content that resonates with target audiences.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
