About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Sienna (Carolina) Inc. as a Nursing Care Assistant. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as provide personal hygiene and toileting assistance.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, and monitor residents for any adverse reactions.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Assist residents with mobility and transfers, including walking, standing, and using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Meal Preparation and Feeding: Prepare and serve meals, as well as assist residents with feeding and eating.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and safe environment, including laundry and light housekeeping duties.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, immunization records, vulnerable sector check, and tuberculosis test.
