Laboratory Technician Position
Intertek is looking for a Laboratory Technician to become part of the Building & Construction division. This position provides avenues for advancement in Product Testing and Regulatory Compliance.
- Receive, assess, and document incoming samples for analysis.
- Transport test samples to the designated staging area.
- Oversee inventory required for testing procedures.
- Prepare samples and calibrate necessary equipment.
- Conduct tests following established methodologies.
- Validate and relay results obtained from testing.
- Maintain accurate records, equipment, and laboratory spaces.
- Support the training of junior staff members.
- Collaborate effectively while adhering to safety regulations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma is mandatory; a technical or engineering diploma is advantageous.
- Experience in a laboratory environment, ideally within construction materials.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Capability to execute analytical tasks.
- Proficient manual skills with tools and power equipment.
- Well-organized with effective time management capabilities.
- Aptitude for interacting with a diverse range of personalities.
