Job Title: Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Neighbourhood Pet Clinic. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our furry patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and Treat: Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests. Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
  • Preventative Care: Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases. Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
  • Emergency Response: Provide emergency care to animals, including routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
  • Team Collaboration: Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and manual dexterity.
