Position Overview

The Lead Business Architect plays a crucial role in guiding enterprise leaders, service managers, and delivery teams through transformation initiatives. This position is focused on shaping business strategies, outcomes, and capabilities while ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate collaboration between business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Analyze market trends and disruptions to evaluate their impact on business objectives.
  • Visualize future states through storytelling to support long-term strategic planning.
  • Communicate the value of business architecture and its associated services effectively.
  • Develop standard artifacts and templates in collaboration with divisional experts to support Enterprise Architecture.
  • Work with stakeholders to define strategic goals and identify necessary business capabilities.
  • Mentor and coach embedded architects and technical leads to foster architectural thinking.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with an understanding of the enterprise's political landscape.
  • Balance long-term vision with short-term operational goals.
  • Assess the financial implications of various architectural alternatives.
  • Quickly understand new technologies and their functions.
  • Adopt an innovative consulting approach to drive digital business strategies.
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning, operations, or business analysis.
  • At least 10 years of experience in multiple disciplines such as business architecture, application development, or database management.
  • Familiarity with business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of financial models, risk management, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and their application at the enterprise level.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and negotiation.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and business development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise architecture principles and processes.
