Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Technical Architect

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect to join our team at Veracity Software Inc. As a Senior Technical Architect, you will be responsible for leading the planning and technical analysis of our DNS services, custom applications, and data management infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multi-discipline analysis and design teams in support of strategic projects.
  • Develop and implement plans, strategies, architectures, and policies that affect the whole organization.
  • Ensure business and IT are in alignment through the linkage of business mission, strategy, and processes to IT strategy.
  • Establish appropriate governance mechanisms.
  • Migrate existing in-house DNS services and data to a third-party application.
  • Transition Windows DNS services for a designated set of devices into the selected third-party application.
  • Provide expert advice on the decommissioning process for existing Solaris servers and migration to Linux-based servers.
  • Migrate custom applications currently running on the BMC Remedy platform to the BMC Helix.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge and experience working with DNS and DHCP servers.
  • Experience dealing with the migration of in-house DNS implementations to a third-party application.
  • In-depth understanding of DNS and DHCP data structures.
  • In-depth understanding of Windows DNS and its integration with other DNS services.
  • Recent experience scripting in Perl and JavaScript.
  • Recent experience maintaining Solaris Servers.
  • Experience with migration of Unix scripts in Solaris to Linux-compatible scripts.
  • In-depth understanding of Remedy Action Request System (ARS) and development of Remedy Applications.
  • In-depth understanding of network devices, components, and their inter-relationships to maintain data integrity for the entire network infrastructure.
  • Experience working with common Province of BC tools and datasets preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with BMC Remedy, especially Action Request System ARS and/or Helix.
  • Experience with Solaris Servers.
  • Experience with Perl, JavaScript, and Rest API.
