Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Dispensary Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing distribution pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret medication orders/prescriptions and assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability
  • Ensure that medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed and/or compounded and labelled
  • Communicate with physicians, patients, and/or other health care team members for prescription clarification and problem resolution
  • Participate in the collection of data for medication use evaluation projects and implementation of dispensary-based medication safety initiatives
  • Contribute to internal publications and participate in clinical drug trials in accordance with established standards and procedures
Requirements
  • Current license of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
  • Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged
  • At least one year of related work in a hospital pharmacy, desirable
