Role Overview:

The Lead Software Applications Engineer is essential in steering the advancement and creativity of state-of-the-art digital solutions tailored for our clients. You will oversee a skilled team of software developers, ensuring the delivery of superior software applications that not only meet but surpass client expectations. This role demands a unique combination of technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for the travel and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the modernization and upkeep of existing software applications, ensuring compliance with contemporary standards and alignment with client goals.
  • Initiate and guide the development of new software applications from concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams to interpret client needs and convert them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Manage and prioritize assignments for a team of front-end and back-end developers, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project completion.
  • Act as a technical resource for front-end development challenges, offering guidance and support to resolve intricate technical issues.
  • Collaborate with project management and creative teams during the discovery and development stages to define requirements, set priorities, and deliver solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, delivering constructive feedback and fostering professional growth to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Report to departmental leadership on project status, team performance, and strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4-5 years of experience in software development, particularly with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing software development teams, with a focus on task delegation, prioritization, and performance oversight.
  • Strong proficiency in developing modern web applications from inception through deployment and ongoing maintenance, utilizing technologies such as React or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in integrating front-end applications with back-end systems.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Passion for keeping abreast of the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in digital marketing and technology.
  • Experience in a digital marketing or advertising agency setting is highly advantageous.
