Your role within the team

  • Adhere to Bombardier's General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop, and/or Hangar positions)
  • Follow environmental health and safety policies and procedures, participating in 5-S activities, and ensuring work is performed safely and promptly.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain customer aircraft
  • Remove and install aircraft components as necessary
  • Fabricate or modify structural components on aircraft parts
  • Conduct minor structural repairs on composite components, whether attached or detached
  • Assist in hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures
  • Support complex structural repairs, both on and off the aircraft
  • Document work performed according to relevant manuals and regulations
  • Operate ground support equipment as needed
  • Assist with aircraft component repairs
  • Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations as required
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

What it takes to excel in this position

  • Typically 0-2 years of experience in structural sheet metal repair or a similar field
  • Completion of a sheet metal A/C Technician program or equivalent education
  • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
  • Possession of an A Certification, A&P Certificate, or Repairman Certificate (Commercial Only)
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, regarding individual and aircraft status
  • Ownership of a basic set of hand tools, with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools
  • Must obtain necessary Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required
  • Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays
  • Ability to work outdoors in seasonal or inclement weather
  • Capability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable
  • Basic computer skills
