- Engage in design and sizing activities for Research & Technology projects from concept through to entry into service.
- Participate in technical reviews and configuration decisions as an authority in the field of structural integrity.
- Execute stress analysis to define and size key systems or structural interfaces, utilizing FEA and analytical hand calculations.
- Lead and perform stress evaluations to assess design solutions and conduct trade studies.
- Prepare and review essential engineering documentation, including manuals, requirements, reports, presentations, justification notes, and stress analysis files and models.
- Drive problem-solving initiatives and deliver technical solutions.
- Actively participate in and guide structural design (metallic & composite) and/or system installation design efforts.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of experts to recommend optimal structural concept selections.
- Develop risk management matrices and mitigation strategies.
- Define strategies for achieving project objectives: content, scope of work, costs, and risks.
- Liaise with suppliers, both internal and external.
- Provide necessary visibility to management as required.
- You possess a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- You have a minimum of 15 years of advanced structural analysis experience in static assessments for primary structures and system components (metallic and composite).
- You have hands-on experience in the development of major structures across at least two new aircraft development programs.
- You are proficient in software tools such as MSC PATRAN/NASTRAN, Altair Hyper Works, LS-DYNA, as well as CATIA v5 or NX, and the Microsoft Software Suite (MS Word, MS Excel).
- You have knowledge of object-oriented programming methodologies.
- You are familiar with design and manufacturing processes within the aerospace sector.
- You are self-sufficient, results-oriented, and enthusiastic, demonstrating strong work ethics.
- You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- You have strong communication skills and can adapt your communication style to suit various audiences, fostering harmonious teamwork.
