The Avionics Installation Operations Lead will report directly to the Avionics Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan, organize, and manage installation resources and workloads.
  • Assess and enhance work methodologies to ensure efficient task completion.
  • Uphold the safety of all personnel by enforcing safety protocols.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in safety procedures, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
  • Implement hazardous waste disposal practices in accordance with regulations.
  • Supervise personnel by assigning tasks, coordinating training, and managing leave schedules.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
  • Address customer inquiries and needs promptly, including preparing and approving quotes.
  • Serve as a liaison between Quality Control Inspectors and management to resolve customer feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Control, acting as a delegate for the Avionics division.
  • Ensure meticulous completion of technical documentation by maintenance staff.
  • Analyze sales and production metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop marketing strategies and media to promote the shop's capabilities.
  • Conduct regular assessments of departmental operations to identify improvement areas.
  • Partner with HR for recruitment, hiring, and employee termination processes.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all required reports to relevant parties.
  • Embody and promote the company's values, vision, and mission, creating a motivating work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Transport Canada Certified AME- E License is mandatory.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates integrity, creativity, and assertiveness in task execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Commitment to pursuing an ACA certification.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
