Teaching Opportunity at Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf

We are seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf to join our team at Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf in Milton. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Deaf students in the Secondary program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Deaf students in the Secondary program
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of Deaf students
  • Work with students who have multiple exceptionalities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Valid Certificate of Registration and Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Deaf Specialist/Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing qualification
  • Intermediate/Senior Division qualifications required
  • Senior Sciences, Math or English qualifications preferred
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
