Position Overview

Sodexo Canada Ltd is expanding its operations and is seeking a Laundry Aid to become a vital part of our dedicated workforce. This role is classified as CASUAL / ON CALL, providing a flexible work environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance while ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently wash, dry, sort, and fold laundry items for residents and the facility.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning dryer lint filters and vacuuming dryers.
  • Maintain cleanliness by damp dusting equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure all sinks and counters are kept clean and disinfected.
  • Damp mop laundry floors and address any spills promptly.
  • Report any equipment issues to the Manager or Supervisor.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of laundry chemicals, assisting with monthly inventory checks.
  • Adhere to the established Duty List and perform assigned tasks.
  • Uphold a safe working environment by utilizing wet floor signage as necessary.
  • Follow safe work practices, including seeking guidance when uncertain and reporting any injuries or hazards immediately.
  • Support the unit's Safety Program actively.
  • Exhibit a service-oriented approach towards colleagues, client staff, and customers.
  • Complete any additional tasks as requested by your supervisor.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a reliable individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, committed to quality and safety standards.

Requirements:
  • Minimum education level of grade 10.
  • Proven experience in customer service.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in a high-volume laundry setting.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
