OverviewPetro Papa is in search of an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor. This role, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, is pivotal in overseeing maintenance operations to guarantee the safe, efficient, and timely implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies essential for the ongoing production of lubricant products.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during scheduled work, including maintenance corrective actions, regulatory requirements, safety measures, environmental considerations, and production support tasks.
- Facilitate training programs to ensure maintenance personnel are skilled and capable of executing their assigned tasks safely and effectively.
- Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
- Establish daily work expectations and performance standards for team members, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain a strong presence in the field to enhance employee engagement, communication, and evaluate the effectiveness of work processes.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for work execution and related procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports, adhering to the collective bargaining agreement and completing annual reviews.
- Oversee time management for assigned personnel and manage attendance processes.
- Lead monthly safety meetings, reviewing and addressing issues raised to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure timely completion of training for all team members.
- Keep all regulatory documentation and audits up to date.
- Diagnose issues to minimize production disruptions or downtime.
- Update job completion statuses on assigned work orders.
- This position supervises a team of 10 Instrument Technicians and 10 Electrical Technicians within a unionized setting. The Supervisor is responsible for the performance management of direct reports, ensuring strict adherence to safety policies and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- A minimum of five years of experience in refinery maintenance or operations.
- Prior supervisory experience, ideally in a unionized environment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Electrical or Instrumentation Certificate of Qualification or an Engineering degree is required.
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety standards and procedures.
- Supervisory knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in a unionized context.
- Strong business acumen, capable of managing competing priorities effectively.
- This role is classified as Safety Sensitive.
- Work is split between office and plant environments.
