Job Opportunity at Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS)

We are seeking a highly qualified researcher to join our team as a tenure-track faculty position in the field of virology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in viral replication mechanisms and/or virus-host interactions, and will be expected to build and maintain an independent, innovative, and externally funded research program.

Main Responsibilities
  • Establish a research program in virology, with a focus on viral replication mechanisms and/or virus-host interactions;
  • Secure extramural research funding to support the research program;
  • Participate in teaching, supervision, and training activities, including the supervision of master's and doctoral students.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in a related biomedical or biotechnological field and relevant postdoctoral experience;
  • Technical and academic expertise that complements the research activities at INRS;
  • High competence for teaching and mentoring graduate students.
Working Language

French is the working language of the Centre. Fluency in English is required. Candidates who are not fluent in French are encouraged to apply, and the selected candidate will be invited to improve their French knowledge during the first contract period.
