Occupational Therapist II, Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team in the Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units at BC Children's and Women's Hospital & Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.
Job Summary:The Occupational Therapist II will provide occupational therapy assessments, develop and implement treatment programs, and document client progress. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop treatment plans for clients/patients in the Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units.
- Implement treatment programs and provide education to clients/patients and their families.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Health Care and Professionals of British Columbia.
- Two (2) years of recent related experience, including one (1) year in pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- 50 hours of post-graduate coursework or training related to additional procedures, techniques, and job functions for assigned area.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in groups, one-on-one, and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation and education to clients/patients and their families.
