Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation: Log patient samples and prepare them for testing, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up medical laboratory equipment, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Testing and Analysis: Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain medical laboratory equipment and facilities, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control assessments of testing techniques, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Specimen Handling: Discard specimens according to established safety procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Organ Examination: Dissect, examine, and weigh organs, as required, to support laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Test Administration: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures, and record results, ensuring accurate and efficient testing.
  • Equipment Calibration: Monitor, check, and calibrate auditory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
