OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Reporting directly to the Store General Manager, the Operations Supervisor is primarily tasked with overseeing the merchandising, visual presentation, and warehouse teams to achieve profitability goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role includes managing the execution and upkeep of visual merchandising standards, product presentation, and ensuring the efficient fulfillment of online orders and shipment processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

Sets a standard by delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Acts as a support to the Senior Management team when needed. Provides leadership on the sales floor during designated times.

Visual Merchandising:

Guides and supervises merchandise presentation initiatives, ensuring adherence to established standards and maintaining product quality and availability. Monitors and evaluates the ongoing development and effectiveness of plan-o-grams related to product display. Ensures that weekly merchandising directives, markdowns, and promotional setups are executed within required timelines and to standard.

Warehouse Management:

Guarantees efficient product flow in and out of the warehouse, adhering to established standards. Ensures timely introduction of new products to the sales floor, meeting a 24-hour execution standard.

E-commerce Oversight:

Manages order fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery. Provides coaching to resolve staffing and inventory delivery challenges as necessary. Ensures that reporting is completed and submitted within required timelines. Oversees opening and closing procedures. Collaborates with senior management to prepare for and execute annual inventory assessments. Plans and manages seasonal transitions. As a member of the Senior Management team, ensures compliance with Health and Safety policies and programs. Guarantees adherence to loss prevention standards by all team members.

Leadership Development

Inspires and guides warehouse, e-commerce, and visual staff on customer service standards, store cleanliness, departmental responsibilities, health and safety practices, employee relations, and compliance with company policies. Supports staff development through ongoing coaching, succession planning, performance evaluations, and consistent leadership. Conducts daily coaching sessions with the team, fostering a high-performance environment focused on achieving departmental KPIs and targets. In collaboration with the Assistant Manager or Customer Experience Manager, participates in initial interviews for visual, warehouse, and e-commerce positions.

Training and Onboarding:

Facilitates onboarding processes and ensures orientation is completed within target timeframes.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of progressive experience in retail management. Experience in visual merchandising or warehouse operations is an asset. Demonstrates leadership by example, fostering teamwork to achieve results. Exhibits entrepreneurial spirit, competitiveness, self-confidence, and motivation. Possesses superior communication skills. Displays a strong sense of urgency in addressing business and staff needs. Adapts flexibly to changing business requirements. Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Basic computer proficiency.
