Job Title: Grocery Clerk

Mercato Fresh is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our store staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring accurate inventory management.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and making product recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves, facing merchandise, and sweeping floors.
  • Accurately receive, stock, and rotate merchandise to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a high level of cash handling accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
