Quality Control Supervisor

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the quality management of the QC Chemistry laboratory, adhering to high standards and superior services while maintaining compliance with regulations and safety programs. This role oversees the testing and release services for materials and products, supporting established schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily activities of the Quality Control team efficiently
  • Coordinate raw material release internally and externally
  • Support internal and outsourced cGMP release and stability programs
  • Investigate deviations, Out of Trend (OOT) or Out of Specification (OOS) results thoroughly
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for timely testing
  • Ensure all results released by the Quality control team are accurate
  • Lead and coach a team of QC Analysts
  • Perform mid-year and end of year evaluations
  • Ensure technical and safety trainings are up-to-date
  • Support internal, client, and regulatory agency audits as needed, developing action plans for continuous improvement
  • Serve as the point person for all internal and external Quality Control data for commercial products
  • Ensure instruments and equipment are qualified and calibrated
  • Review periodic SOP revisions
  • Support the achievement of Groupe Parima global objectives

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, pharmaceutical field) or related field from a Canadian University, or an equivalent scientific diploma recognized by a Canadian University or an accredited Canadian organization
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Control in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a management/supervisory position
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Canadian, US, and European regulations
  • Experience with cGMP and ICH regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Bilingual (French and English)
