Northumberland Hills Hospital is actively seeking a dedicated Hospitalist to enhance our established inpatient care program. The successful candidate will collaborate with a committed team of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for hospitalized patients.
- Work in partnership with local General Practitioners, Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and Allied Health professionals to deliver integrated hospital-based care.
- Participate in the on-call schedule for the Hospitalist Program, which may include a seven-day block rotation.
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care within acute and post-acute settings.
- Manage a shared daily caseload of approximately 25 to 35 patients alongside the team.
Qualifications:
- Certification with the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
- Registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Exhibit strong communication and interprofessional collaboration skills.
Comprehensive hospital-based office and administrative support for scheduling and billing will be provided.
