Ward Operations Assistant

Position Summary
In collaboration with the Program Team Manager, the Unit Assistant plays a vital role in delivering clerical and patient-centered support within the healthcare setting. Key responsibilities encompass managing appointment schedules, preparing patient rooms, assisting individuals in need, and procuring necessary supplies.
Required Experience
- A minimum of six months of experience in a healthcare unit environment.
Educational Background
- Completion of secondary education or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the St. Boniface Hospital Ward Clerk Training Program is preferred.
Note: Candidates with one year of relevant experience in a nursing unit may be exempt from the Training Program requirement.
Licensure and Certification
No specific certification required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in utilizing computer systems
- Strong command of the English language
- Ability to manage confidential information responsibly
- Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills
- Capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Physical Demands
- Must be able to assist patients who require mobility support.
