We are currently seeking a meticulous, dependable, and analytical Quality Control Inspector to enhance our operations.


Role Overview:

Reporting to the Area Manager and Corporate Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and ensuring adherence to the company's quality policies, programs, and practices in alignment with the necessary codes and standards for various projects and fabrications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define quality benchmarks for product evaluation.
  • Assess work pieces for compliance with specifications and welding standards.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for team members.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and weld inspections.
  • Perform non-destructive testing on piping and pressure vessels according to ASME/ANSI codes.
  • Monitor the validity of welder qualification records and certifications.
  • Maintain thorough inspection and calibration documentation.
  • Verify fabrication dimensions and calibration of code vessels using various inspection tools.
  • Coordinate fabrication activities for ASME code vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant code standards and requirements.
  • Develop procedures for testing welding against code specifications.
  • Create Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Propose and expedite solutions to fabrication and installation challenges.
  • Compile, analyze, and present history dockets and data reports.
  • Participate in company audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in inspection and construction operations is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
  • A degree or diploma in Quality, Engineering, or C.E.T. is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with various inspection techniques and construction codes, particularly ASME-BPVC and CSA standards.
  • Minimum of 3 years of QA field experience in construction or nuclear settings.
  • Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Certification is a plus.
