Your Contributions

In what may be your initial managerial position, you will guarantee that Mondelēz International's safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and employee engagement objectives are met for the lines under your supervision. This involves breaking down overall targets into specific line and unit goals, ensuring that team members comprehend their individual performance metrics in relation to the collective objectives. Additionally, you will formulate budgets and oversee cost management, compliance, loss reduction, workforce planning, recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and the identification of high-potential team members. Your leadership is essential for delivering premium snacks to our clientele.

Key Information Regarding This Position:

We are in search of a highly driven and seasoned Operations Leader to join our manufacturing team. The Operations Leader will oversee a group of production staff engaged in various facets of food manufacturing, ensuring that production goals are met while strictly adhering to food safety and quality protocols.

What Additional Skills You Will Bring:

  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of production personnel to achieve daily production goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with production management to create daily production schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Train new team members on production processes, safety measures, and quality standards. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency enhancements. Implement best practices to boost productivity and lower production costs.
  • Address production challenges promptly, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Promote a culture of open communication and collaboration within the team and across departments. Effectively communicate production goals, expectations, and updates to team members and management.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to proper safety procedures and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including production reports, inventory logs, and quality control records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless production operations and timely product delivery.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, including GMP, HACCP, and FDA guidelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Specific Job Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) year of demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within the food manufacturing sector, with a solid understanding of production processes and quality standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make prompt, sound decisions in a dynamic environment, along with effective communication and coaching skills, emphasizing attention to detail.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and engage with cross-functional teams.

Work Schedule:

Continental Shift. Flexibility to work various shifts (days, nights, and/or weekends).
