Position Overview
Transporter for Emergency Services
In this vital role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the Emergency Department. Collaborating closely with emergency physicians, registered nurses, and ward clerks, your focus will be on supporting both patients and healthcare staff. Your contributions will enhance patient flow and promote a family-centered approach to care within the Emergency Department. You will need to demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Maintaining patience, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues is essential. This role also supports our academic mission by advancing care through education and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to medical imaging and inpatient areas.
- Deliver laboratory samples and specimens to the appropriate departments.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations as they arise.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Exhibit initiative and problem-solving capabilities in daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Completion of a High School diploma.
- Experience in continuous heavy lifting and proficient use of computers for documentation.
