Job Title: Transportation Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at Beaver Transportation Inc.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes coordinating with drivers, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Logistics: Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks, organize workflows, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization.
  • Task Management: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments, prepare and submit reports, and ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.
  • Staff Management: Recruit and hire staff, train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Utilize electronic scheduler, dispatch management service software, inventory control software, human resources software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organized, reliability, and team player.
