Job Opportunity: Inuvialuit Knowledge Coordinator

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Inuvialuit Knowledge Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our research administration and programs department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing programs related to Inuvialuit knowledge-based research activities in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and implementing research studies on the marine environment, focusing on the social, cultural, and economic relationships between the Inuvialuit and their waterways.
  2. Collaborating with internal and external partners to design and lead community outreach and engagement activities.
  3. Working with the Inuvialuit Cultural Resource Centre to collect, analyze, and produce Inuvialuit Knowledge resources.
  4. Providing technical advice to senior management on research planning, data analysis, and knowledge dissemination.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. An undergraduate degree or equivalent in a related field, such as library science, social science, or data science.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in designing, administering, and leading community outreach or engagement activities.
  3. Experience working in Indigenous communities and organizations.
  4. Proficiency in utilizing communications and publication software.
  5. Excellent communication and project management skills.
