The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Inuvialuit Knowledge Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our research administration and programs department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing programs related to Inuvialuit knowledge-based research activities in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing research studies on the marine environment, focusing on the social, cultural, and economic relationships between the Inuvialuit and their waterways.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to design and lead community outreach and engagement activities.
- Working with the Inuvialuit Cultural Resource Centre to collect, analyze, and produce Inuvialuit Knowledge resources.
- Providing technical advice to senior management on research planning, data analysis, and knowledge dissemination.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent in a related field, such as library science, social science, or data science.
- At least 2 years of experience in designing, administering, and leading community outreach or engagement activities.
- Experience working in Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Proficiency in utilizing communications and publication software.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
