About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Pet Care Specialist to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our store team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our pet-loving customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Customer Care
    • Prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers, pets, and team members by maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
    • Effectively open and close the store, following company procedures to ensure a smooth and secure operation.
  • Product Knowledge and Sales
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our products and services to provide expert recommendations to customers.
    • Support sales and customer service initiatives to drive store performance and achieve sales goals.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership
    • Work collaboratively with the store team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
    • Assist with operational processes, including inventory management, floor moves, and completing mandatory paperwork and reports.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
