Logistics Operations
The Warehouse and Distribution Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient management of supplies and inventory across multiple locations. This position requires the ability to operate a two-axle vehicle and various powered equipment to facilitate the distribution of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently organizes and prioritizes internal requests from different departments, ensuring accurate record-keeping through paperwork and data entry in computerized systems.
- Monitors and maintains inventory levels for carts and trolleys, ensuring timely replenishment based on established minimum and maximum thresholds.
- Receives and inspects incoming shipments, verifying compliance with specifications and completing necessary documentation.
- Maintains accurate inventory records by labeling and updating data as required, adhering to established guidelines.
- Prepares and transports various goods and supplies to designated areas, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Identifies and processes returns for damaged or spoiled items, completing appropriate records.
- Complies with safety regulations during the transportation of supplies, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Participates in inventory management activities.
- Performs additional related duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 and a minimum of one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in operating relevant equipment.
- Capability to perform physical tasks associated with the role.
- Commitment to fostering reconciliation and understanding of Indigenous cultural safety.
