Job Title: Stores and Distribution Attendant

Job Summary:

The Stores and Distribution Attendant is responsible for organizing and prioritizing internal requisitions from multiple sites and departments, maintaining related records, and performing stores and distribution activities for a multi-site operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prioritize internal requisitions from multiple sites and departments, maintaining related records.
  • Perform stores and distribution activities, including receiving, unpacking, and checking incoming goods and materials.
  • Maintain stores inventory supply records, labeling and adding or deleting data and inventory items as directed.
  • Marshal supplies and equipment in loading or temporary storage areas, assembling loads, loading carts, bins, and/or trolleys, and transporting and shipping goods, supplies, and equipment to and from designated areas, sites, and departments.
  • Identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers, completing appropriate documentation.
  • Deliver, pick up, ship, and transport supplies and equipment by operating a truck and a varied fleet of powered equipment and carts, completing required documentation.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance functions on vehicles and equipment, securing loads, cleaning, checking, lubricating, and topping up fluids, maintaining vehicle documentation.
  • Participate in inventory activities.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12, one (1) year recent, related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
