Heavy Duty Mechanic Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Summit Truck and Equipment Repair in Salmo, British Columbia. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing quality repairs and preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, and troubleshooting to identify and repair issues with heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  • Complete inspection reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and other staff members in all departments.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Lead Hand.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of apprenticeship training from a qualified trades diploma program.
  • Experience in commercial truck and trailer repair.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
