Heavy Duty Mechanic Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Summit Truck and Equipment Repair in Salmo, British Columbia. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing quality repairs and preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers
  • Discuss ideas, diagnose issues, and find solutions to complex problems
  • Complete inspection reports to record problems and work performed
  • Maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and other staff members
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Lead Hand
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of apprenticeship training from a qualified trades diploma program
  • Experience in commercial truck and trailer repair
  • Willingness to attend apprenticeship training each year while working towards the Truck and Transport Technician or Heavy Duty Mechanic certificates
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
