Job Summary

As a Senior Business Analysis Manager at Royal Bank of Canada, you will lead the delivery of business requirements on large programs, working closely with Finance and Capital Markets teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the development and maintenance of IT applications that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Collaborate with Portfolio Management and Project Management to ensure effective delivery of overall portfolio needs.
    • Advocate the value of Business Analysis to Business and Technology stakeholders, building a shared understanding of the BA role.
    • Facilitate conflict resolution by clarifying BA role and responsibilities on projects and programs.
    • Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentoring to build the capabilities of the BA team.
    • Continually enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization and within the business analysis domain.
  • Business Analysis Planning
    • Perform stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups.
    • Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates.
    • Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties.
    • Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities.
  • Requirements Analysis and Documentation
    • Engage large and diverse business stakeholder groups to facilitate requirements discovery, analysis, and review.
    • Apply key elicitation techniques and advanced facilitation techniques to conduct large workshops.
    • Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives.
    • Partner with the Business and Solution Architects, and Technology teams to define business needs and explore, assess, and recommend value-add solution options to support business strategies.
    • Ensure team and stakeholders have knowledge of the RBC Requirements Process.
    • Participate in requirements effort estimation at project portfolio level.
    • Partner with project management to identify projects' interdependencies.
    • Ensure quality of requirement deliverables and requirements estimates.
    • Resolve requirements conflicts and issues between projects as escalated by the team.
    • Analyze and document scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements process and techniques.
