Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with clients to assess, intervene, and follow up on occupational performance goals, promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing illness and disability, and enhancing overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' occupational performance needs
  • Develop and implement effective intervention plans to address identified needs
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to promote optimal outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based research in occupational therapy
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or equivalent
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) with practicing or provisional registration
  • Current CPR training and certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with diverse client populations, including Indigenous communities
  • Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values
  • Membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
