Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Medicine/Respirology unit at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in the Medicine/Respirology unit.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Assess, educate, and prevent patient health issues, and restore patient health through effective care planning and implementation.
  • Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a supportive and culturally sensitive care environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Medication Certificate.
  • One-year recent experience in Medicine/General Surgery, preferred.
  • Paediatric, Mental Health, and Emergency experience, preferred.
  • Geriatric training/experience, preferred.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
