Job Title: Resource Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional educator to join our team as a Resource Teacher. As a key member of our Student Support Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in our K-12 settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and evaluate programming for students with special needs in K-12 settings.
  • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, students, community support personnel, and colleagues to provide effective support services.
  • Supervise Certified Education Assistants and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Modify and/or adapt curriculum in accordance with BC Ministry of Education Special Education Policy and Guidelines.
  • Be thoroughly familiar and experienced with all aspects of the IEP process.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current/recent training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Education of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and current practices in Special Education.
  • Experience working with Special Education technology and/or willingness to attend training sessions to enhance skills in these areas.
  • Training/experience in Quality Assessment practices, such as differentiated instruction, criterion-referenced grading, and assessment for, of, and as learning.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $57,972 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
